I don't think it is possible. You won't get great quality I know that for a fact. What kind of tv is it?

Best bet is an LCD tv or a monitor

You can use iDVD to burn the images to a DVD slideshow to show them. Or you can get the mini-DVI to video adapter and connect to your TV via S-Video or Composite output. If your television has a VGA or DVI input then you could get the mini-DVI to DVI adapter or mini-DVI to VGA adapter to get a better picture
