How do I format the HDD on my PowerMac?

I want to completely clear the drive and then install OSX again. How do I do this?

Aluminium Macbook 2.4 Ghz 4GB RAM, SSD 24" Samsung Display, iPhone 4, iPad 2
Pop in your system discs and hold 'C' to boot from the DVD/CD.

Then choose erase & install as your install option.

Obviously back up your data first.
