Can anybody recommend a good mac game? dont say Sims!

also how well do they run? smooth fps? from the apple site the x1600 looks poor grade compare to the nvidia range found in the 24" imac.. but seriously will my new imac 20" 256mb x1600 run good?

It won't run them good, but it should run most games well. (Little grammar humour there, indulge me :))

Your system will run most things you can throw at it extremely well.
On very taxing games you might have to move that slider down from 'ultimate' to 'great' detail.

Also remember that most games will run better under boot camp and windwos xp that under OSX, simply because most games aren't overly optimized for OSX.

Mmmm Quake 4 Quake 4 Quake 4... make sure you get the SMP patch (Multi Processor support) as it makes a noticeable difference. It even runs well on my lowly little 2.0 GHZ core duo with 512MB, although 2GB made things even better :)

Oh and did I mention Quake 4 is pretty good? ;)

Must get some more games...
