Alright, this isn't your typical hold the track pad button, eject, or F12 button, to eject the disk. I inserted the disk the mac didn't recognize so, I restarted while holding the trackpad button. I got nothing. I then held the f12 button while starting up and noticed that nothing was working. I can hear the apple startup sound, but I never see the apple or the little spinny thing under the apple. I would like to know what to do now. I can not get passed the grey screen.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently on hold with apple, so I figured I'd try mac-forums. I always get fast results here.

Thanks,

It was a standard size disk. It somehow fixed itself. I walked downstairs and came back up and it was fixed. Pretty wierd.

Thanks,

It was playing hard to get [to]. So if you do the same (you walked down stairs and ignored it) it will feel lonely so then it will cooperate!

This is off subject but where did you get the changing box at the bottom? One says Mac User, etc?
