washed out desktop

i had this mbp for less than a month. today the screen just went nuts. here's a picture of what i'm talking about

i tried changing the color profile but that didnt do it any good. hooking it up to an external monitor is fine but defeats the purpose of a laptop. any of you know if there's any fix? i really dont want to bring it back to the mac store. i just there to replace the super drive.

Could be a problem with the inverter board. You're still covered under warranty so just give Apple a ring or take it in and get it repaired.
