If you are in an environment where OS X server has been set up to either provide Net Install or Net Boot images.
Net Boot will allow a (or many) Mac(s) to boot (even without a HD) to a Net Boot image stored on the network. Net Install is similar but instead of running the image directly from the server it will suck the image down at boot and load it locally. great for classrooms and/or training labs.
