Dead pixels but scared to call it in! Anybody have any experience with Apple?

My friend just bought a new MacBook and she's afraid of sending it in because of information she has on the HD.

Anybody know if Apple will look through the HD for a dead pixel?

Thank you for any help!

My suggestion is to back that info up elsewhere and wipe the drive and send it in if worried about that. Or just password protect it.

The real question is how many dead pixels? If it is only one, Apple may not even touch it. Due to this document, About LCD display pixel anomalies. Also you can try to massage the area, gently with a very soft cloth. That is how I was able to get the green pixel, i had to come back to life.
