itunes 7 issues

how can i manually change the EQ setting?? all i get are the little icons in the playlists that has only presets. I went to View and then chose show Equalizer, but nothing ever comes up. also the gapless really slows down the ipod workings. i have a slower ibook and wish i never upgraded. any help will be super great! THANKS!

as you can see in my 1st post, i have done that, and nothing happened. Itunes loses some of its color like it opened a new window in front of it, but nothing ever appears. so yea, needless to say i just down graded to 6. i like it and it works
