My mac wont startup :( Help please!!

Ok i always been a windows user but decided to get a mac to see whats all the fuzz its about (thats what tv does to your head ):)
ok got a second hand powerbook G4 1.5 ghz and 2 gig of ram, really nice laptop been playing with it for a month. but yesterday got the idea hey why dont i plug my pc webcam to it.. the commercial says no drivers needed lol
ok it got stuck .. i turn it off pressing the off button and now it just sits in the gray screen like loading :(
sometimes it reaches the blue screen but still..
i did the little troubleshot thing in the sticky but didnt work (single mode thingy)
please help
any ideas to get it running again its welcome
and nope dont have the install cds but if needed i can get them

I assume you unpluggd the camera?

Can you boot holding down shift after the chime? (like windows safe mode)

yes its unplugged ... and nope doesnt load into safe mode tried that too

you need to get the install discs and run a diagnostic check on the Mac. Just pop in the cd/dvd and press C when your start up. This will start the Mac up from the install disc and you can see some options then to check things out.

Ok thanks a lot.. just one ?
can i only use the mac os x disc. with the version the laptop has.. or can i use another version
because i think the mac has the 10.4.9 and ill be getting the 10.4.6
can i still use this

:mac: Yes, any 10.4 cd/dvd should work.
Don't think you have 10.4.9 though. Latest is 10.4.7

thanks for all your help.
well have another ? i been trying to boot from another mac disc but and tells me that my hardware is not compatible
i been looking and there are discs for each processor but really dont know wich processor my mac has .. its powerbook 15.4 inch 1.5 gigz .
and even tried with a powerbook g4 cd and didnt work only diference that mac was 17 inch

well take to a local apple store and have one of the techs trouble shoot it at this point. This way if its something like a HD failure or some type of Hardware failure you arent waisting you time and you can get it up an running sooner
