Problem with my itunes libary being split into 2

My whole library is split into two between my regular hardrive and an external (cause my hardrive wasn't big enough)

If I were to move the entire contents of the library to a new computer onto just its regular hardrive (not split with an external) how can I maintain my library preferences such as my ratings and playlists?

Put the new computer into firewire target mode (restart and hold down 'T') and connect it to your current mac with a firewire-> firewire cable.

Select the new computers music folder as your new iTunes location and hit 'advanced' consolidate library.

It will copy everything over onto the new drive.
