Learning Final Cut

Hello guys I am very interested in learning Final Cut Express and was wondering what is the best way to do so? I know how to use iDVD and iMovie extremly well! I just need to know how complex it really is, can it be self taught? Books? Let Me know, I really appreaciate it!

I guess it can be self taught, but i would suggest you go out and buy a book from peachpit. and possibly a new keyboard from logickeyboard.com if you really want to become proficient.

why the new keyboard?

Shortcuts I would imagine. I'm about to embark on learning FCP myself, once my new iMac gets here.

Thats pretty much what I did, but I took tv in high school which only used that program so I had alot of background on the software.

The keyboard is a colored keyboard with writing on the keys besides just the letter. For example instead of the I keey just saying I it has a little logo on it, it says mark in.. and then in the lower corner of the key has the I there incase you forget what keys are what, but if you can type with out looking at the keyboard, there is no difference between using that one and the apple one, besides when your in final cut you have a good resource in front of you all the time.
