This just started today and is a HUGE problem for me when i close the lid to my macbook it will not go into sleep, it makes a drive seeking noise pauses makes the seeking noise again and just continues.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated it does it even after a fresh re-boot.

If you have any USB items plugged in, unplug them. Then try to sleep the 'book again.
