I was wondering if it would be possible to remove keys individually from the macbook pro keyboard?

One of my keys has some sort of black mark over it..i tried everything to get it off.. (infact if you guys know any tips..please share)

so if it's possible, any help would be appreciated..

Thx

I had to do this as there was something stuck under my left shift key.

I found that if you press down the key above the key you want to remove (just to give you more room to play with) and GENTLY GENTLY GENTLY pull the key towards you from the top.

it should click off, as its held on by two small plastic clips at the top and two guides, also small and plastic, at the bottom.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

P.S. Replacing the key is simply placing in its space and pressing firmly in the center. the key should then click back in.
