i-Cal set to read only ?

I cant enter any info in i-cal, and cant find a way to switch to read & write can you help?

Find iCal in your Apps folder.

Select it and hit Command+I.

The Get Info pane will come up. Towards the bottom of this window you'll see a pull-down arrow with "Ownership" near it. Set it to Read/Write and type in your password.

I should have also explained that i have tried to change them in this way
(command+I) but it wont let me do so.
I seemed to have changed a setting somewhere and cant find the right place to look.
But Thanks for the input.
This is a basic pilot error issue..............

This is a basic pilot error issue..............

I have just found the answer in my user folder, i have no idea how the group ownerships settings came to be changed??????? any ideas????
Otherwise consider this thread closed.

I have just realised that i have made my 50th post, i'm speechless let me first begin by thanking all of you at Mac Forums and my ever patient wife, and my parents without whom.... well you know....etc...etc
And i hope to see some of you here at my 100th, thats if any of you are still alive.
