Max memory on g3 Powerbook?

Heres my question. I know the advertised max memory for the "Wallstreet series" G3 Powerbooks is 512MB. Well, the advertised max on the Clamshells was 256MB, but I know for certain they'll hold more...say 576MB!

Anyone maxed out a G3? Will it hold anything more than 512 or is that simply the max it will recognize?

thanks

the wallstreets max is 512 you can't go above that.

The clamshells were advertised from apple to have a max of 256 because when they released it they didn't have any dimms larger than that that would work

Thanks for that info man! Looks like 512 will just have to do...should be fine.
