D-Link USB Adaptor problem

Hi. I have a D-Link DLWG122 USB wifi adaptor. Every time I turn on my ibook (osx 10.3.9, 700 mhz) or change user, I have to remove and reinsert the adaptor for it to reconnect to the network.

Is there a way I can make the ibook/adaptor refresh itself each time I change user or turn on the mac without removing and reinserting the adaptor?

Any help would be great (so I don't wear the usb port out!!). Thanks, James.

how did you get the software for the d-link? was it via the d-link site?
I think you'll find restarting will do the trick. This is what I have to do with mine.
