weird disc eject problem

i have the superdrive and when i try to stick in a disk, its met with some hefty resistance (as opposed to my friends macbook which slides in extremely easy)... when i try to eject a disk, 8 times out of 10 (ive tested) it goes through the clicking and ejecting, but doesnt eject the cd. when it does actually come out, it sticks a little piece out and then sucks back in. is this common and should i take it to the genius bar, or should i just call applecare... (will i have to send my computer in?)

you don't have to send it in you can take it to an authorized warranty repair center.
