I switched on my beautiful and QUIET Mac mini this morning ready to do some coding when I get a "security update" message.
Dutifully I downloaded the patch and restarted.
Before this my quiet Mac mini only raised it's voice (fan got louder) when it had serious stuff to do - I loved that!! Now I have the typical PC sounding white noise of the fan buzzing away even when the Mac is doing nothing heavier than runnng a browser.
Am I being paranoid or have Apple released a patch which keeps the fan going because of that battery over heating problem they had recently?
If so...
<rant>Mr Apple, don't bother putting much money into designing the cases because I'm hiding it away so I can't hear the thing!</rant>
Anybody else considered this issue?
cheers!
