Airport Extreme

I have an iMac G4 wirelessly networked to an airport extreme base station, connected to the internet. My son bought a Dell pc laptop with a network card. How do we connect to the internet at the same time thro' the airport extreme. If he wants to get on the internet I have to get off. I have read all the set up material I can get my hands on including "Designing Airport Extreme Networks" Still can't get both computers on the internet together. Help!

ibook g4, imac 2ghz c2d, mbp 2.4ghz c2d - 10.5.1
they should just connect together. i have 2 windoze xp's and my ibook g4 sharing my airport extreme connection works fine and never drops.
