Well just yesterday my iTunes started to skip towards the beginning of the song. I don't know why its doing this considering I have a iMac G5 1GB RAM.

Has anyone experienced any problems like this? Does anyone know any reason why it might have just started doing this out of nowhere?

Thanks in advance

Is it actually skipping, or is it just missing part of the beginning of songs?

Check the preferences (iTunes->Preferences->Playback preferences) to see if the 'Crossfade playback' checkbox has been activated.

It might be mixing the silent end of the previous track into the first few seconds of the next track...

Thanks I figured it out...I just got a widget where it finds the lyrics to the song thats currently playing on iTunes so when a song starts it interferes with the playback.

Thanks again
john
