psc scanning problems

hi everyone
i'm stuck, need to scan a load of my printed work, but i can't find a descreen on
the software for my scanner, it is HP psc 1350, everything is coming out with
lines all over it, can anyone a suggest a solution, or a better scanning app,
that will work.

if you have photoshop you can use that and choose descreen that should work, if not im not sure if this is right or for something else but i could have sworn my teacher said to scan it in on a angle it will perhaps reduce that...can anyone confirm that ?
