hey guys,

i had a buddy burn his iTunes library for me, but i need to change the names of the files. when he burned the songs, it added number (in 4 digit format) to the beginning of the file name, ex. 0001 Song Title.mp3.

so is there a way to remove the first 5 digits of these files using automator?

thanks
kurt

Wouldn't it also result in the removal of each song title, so WhatTheCrap would be left with the potentially mammoth job of adding all the titles back?

Just thinkin'......

Actually I just d/l a program on PC called Flexible Renamer, it's quite convenient to organize folders full of files like music and photos. And I was wondering if someone has any idea about such kind of software on Mac OSX.
