hello all. i am somewhat of a NooB when it comes to server side site adjustments, but i was curious as to how i would configure a sites directory to restrict viewers from viewing content that doesn't need to be accessed? I ran across a few things pertaining to Apache, but I am at a lost as to where to start. I am using bluehost.com as my server and i'm just trying to restrict access to certain folders in my directory. Thanx for any help.

In your Control Panel, you would need to find something that pertains to Directory Protection, and you can simply add a Username and Password protection to the folders.

If the directorys dont contain any .html files, you can simply put a blank index.html file in there and when the directory is accessed, it will just show a blank page.
