17" G4 Powerbook, 1.33/1g/80g
yup, that's right :)

I'm going to be buying myself a 15" macbook pro, and use the display for when I'm at home.

With that said, I'm going to give my 17" 1.33ghz powerbook to my wife. If she wants to use the powerbook with the 30" display and actually be able to take advantage of that screen resolution/size.. what graphics card upgrade should be done to the powerbook?

Thanks :)

you can't upgrade the graphics card in the powerbook, but I think that you can already use the powerbook with the 30 inch screen, I believe it already has a dual link dvi port.

I don't think the 1.33Ghz 17in PBs can support a 30in display. I would definantly ask someone at Apple before buying.

Well, he is buying it for his MBP, so it will definitely work with that.
And, yeah as far as upgrading the "video card" in a PB... as it has been covered time and time again in this forum, that is a no go.

I thought dual link dvi started at the 17 inch model of 1.33 ghz powerbook.

I could be wrong, I couldn't find anything that made me certain either way.
