question about combo drive

i popped an audio cd in there and lugged the laptop downstairs with it still in there (tried to keep it as level as possible) and i heard it get scratched up a little in the drive, and took out the cd and had a look - either it already had a scratch or two already on there or i did it from having an unlevel macbook for a few seconds. do you think this damaged the drive (even though it still reads cds fine and all that crap)? should i worry?

I doubt it, the scratch would be from some non vital part like some of the casing inside the drive, the lense is recessed so i doubt thats damaged. Do try to avoid moving it with a disc inside though.
