Icons for Network Drives

Is it possible to change the icon for a folder on a network drive? I have my music on a network accessible hard drive and would like to replace the folder icon with something music-centric, but it doesn't seem to take when I try it. Any ideas?

Can you link me to a thread that has instructions for setting an icon for a network folder? Instructions for a local folder don't seem to apply, which is why I posted here.
