Yuengling Lager is the best 'cheap' beer you can get that I have found.

Grolsch is OK, but still a main stream brew, kinda like a higher end Heineken. Too little hops for my tastes.

One of my favorite beers to date has to be Pilsner Urquell. There is a mild sweet/citrus taste at first which leads into the bitterness of the hops that lasts into the aftertaste. There is a crisp mouthfeel, while not being overly dry. This is the 'Original Pilsner' as opposed to Miller Lite's claim of "A True Pilsner", yet it is still readily available.

Späten and Späten Optimater are good beers, but unfortunately are hard to find around here.

Guinness, Saranac Black & Tan, and various microbrews. Brews like Miller, Bud, et al are what I call lawn-mower beers...fine on a hot summer day after working or when they are free, but I rarely buy them.

Stella & Hoegaarden work for me. When I want a regular/cheap beer, I stick with Corona. :D

No Umlaut (ä) in Spaten btw :)

Augustiner is the Beer of choice here in Munich, but personally I also like a Cider :)

PBR baby!

Right now I'm in Brasil so I mostly drink the domestic Pilsners like Skol, Brahma Chopp, Antarctica, etc.

Not farmiliar with many microbrews in my area. NJ isn't exactly the beer capital of the world. ;]
