Hi all !

I'm just new to Mac, got myself a white MacBook and wonder if
I can get some help here.

I would like to capture some video ouput from my PS2, i.e.
component, composite or S-VHS, transfer this to my MacBook
and edit this using iMovie. Any toughts and/or experience about
this ? Any external hardware that could do the trick ?

The EyeTV EZ does all of the encoding on your computer using your systems resources
The 250 has two modes. Game mode all of the work is done on your computer so you can play with almost no latency, and the standard mode where it does the processing on the unit itself (this is how almost every other device works).

Most excellent ! And it looked good to !! :mac:

Hi again,

I just went down to the Apple Store and CompUSA here in SF just to check
out what they had, and this is what I found :

Canopus ADVC 110

Pinnacle Studio Plus 700-USB version 10.5

myTV.PVR

The last one doesn't seem to support the Intel Core Duo, and my fear is
that the other two will give me lots of lag.
Anyone who has tried to capture PS2/XBox with any of these ?

Maybe I'll just go with the EyeTV 250 as you recommended.. ;)

All three of those are hardware based so they will all be very laggy
