• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I am after a camcorder to work with my future 17" imac.. i have a budget of up-to £330 (£350 is pushing it as i need to buy a tripod)

Canon MVX460 is what i had in mind. If not any other suggestions?

Features i require>
1. 16:9 Widescreen
2. Ease to use but NO editing functions as i want todo this on the imac
3. MiniDV (as i been recommended this in another post)

I am new to shooting video so this is one concern i have.. i have seen that light can be a problem when shooting.. however i dont want special features to make light a friend and not foo.. reason is i want to create true light videos so if there is a person standing in front a bright light i want that person to appear black and not full of colour as real life it wouldn't be.. if that makes sense? i will be shooting wildlife and transport videos including music videos for a friend.. any suggestions would be great :)
