Boot Camp isn't Apple's way of supporting Vista (or XP et al) per se, it's to help bridge the gap between Macs and Windows to encourage people to switch. Apple have openly stated with the Boot Camp beta that although they are allowing users to install and run Windows on their Macs - and at this point it's only (official) XP anyway - all they're doing is providing some drivers and that's it.

Let's not forget all the features of Vista that are quite obviously derived from OS X Tiger - the search function and photo organising program are two examples.

Yes, apple is definitely not supporting vista :biohazard Its a HUGE switcher campaign. All those people who wouldn't switch because they couldn't run their old software will try it out, love OSX and eventually drop the Xp line.

Boot camp will allow you to run Vista and will be part of Leopard

just because it lets you run it doesnt mean its supported. you cant call apple and ask for help, they bash them because its pretty sad that they copy most of their "cutting edge" features from an about to be out-dated operation system (by leopard) and not only that, but it takes them years to do so

Yeah, they bash Windows XP as well, but Boot camp lets you use it... as long as you're using OS X as well, apple doesn't mind you playing Half-life with vista :)

as long as you bought the macintosh they don't care if you run it out the top floor window.

Seeing how People got XP on Macs before bootcamp, Apple would be a fool not to make some software to get it on Macs, this way Apple sells more Mac hardware, which is were the true cash is for them
