Can I do this? I have a powerbook g4 titanuim 15" and I would like to replace the screen with the macbook as it has that clear layer or something over it and looks a heck of alot better. Just thought I'd ask.

well your asking us if you can put a 13 inch screen in a 15 inch elclosure. are you sure you couldnt figure that one out yourself?

you don't have to replace the screen to get the glossy layer. there is a company that bonds it to the lcd. there was a guy on one of the mac forums who did this to his g3 powerbook, and it looks good.

Besides, I have my mom's tibook here next to me and I'm using my macbook (which is comparable to the MBP) and there's not really much difference in brightness at all. The glossy is quite nice, but hardly worth going through all that for.

macbook pro screen is bigger then the powerbook screen, the powerbook screen is not as tall because there is no isight built in.
