Latest OS X update

I've been having freezing problems with the latest updates for the MacBook.

For one, my wireless would not function anymore.
If I try to go to system preferences, it would not load.
I cannot even restart it without powering it down by holding the power button.

Is anyone having the same problem? neye:

Which Mac do you have? I've heard similar story from the ppl running CS2 version cue(on Intel Macs). They solved it by removing version cue from startup items. But I may be wrong.

i just got my macbook last night, and havent had a problem. first thing i did was upgrate to 10.4.7 no problems yet. no freezing or anything.

I removed the virus barrier 4x and the problem went away.

Is there an alternative good virus scanner for the OS X?

You don't really need the virus scanner.

Yeah, last night before I went to bed i saw a note about a security update. i selected download, then this morning I saw the progress indicator was stuck at about 95%. Everything was frozen, I had to shut down with the button and spend 2.5 hours reinstalling tiger. I guess an electron zigged when it should have zagged.
