The only thing, think could be a problems is the size

the hard drive height is 26.1 mm or 1.02 inch and the apple instructions say it needs to be 1.0 inch I may have open the box and get the mesuring tape

I just put that exact hard drive in my dual 1.8Ghz G5.

Works beautifully. The SATA cables are kind of hard to attach, though. You have to pull them a little more than feels right...
