I have a powermac g4 with an apple studio display connected with the ADC. There is a power button on the monitor, so of course the logical thing for the power button to do would be to toggle the power of the monitor. Of course, that isn't very mac-like, so the power button actually functions the same as the power button on the computer itself. I've poked around OS X a little to find a way to turn off the monitor instantly and manually, but cannot find anything. Is there any good way to do this? I would really like to be able to have a button on the dock to do this or something, but if thats not possible, I'd just like to know if there is any way to do this.
