I have a very bizzare internet problem: my airport signal will switch between full bars and none, and even when it has a signal, when I open up camino, it tells me I cannot access any page. This has been a real pain in the...neck, but it has a relatively simple solution: I plug it into the ethernet and go to my router's adress (http://*numbers*), and just click "apply" and it works again, but I have to redo this every time I come back to my MBP. It's really irritating, and I have no idea what's causing it. I had this same problem when I was first setting up the internet on my MBP, but for the past couple of days, it's been constant. Though this may be of no use, I recently installed boot camp (1 week ago) and have been switching from XP (to play COD2) to OSX (for everything else). Any idea what might be causing it? I am totally stumped, not just for the internet connection but for the airport signal issues as well.

thanks!

I do actually search as well, and i'd seen two of those threads. But anyway, the advice there was fruitless. So I tried fiddling around with internet connect and I think that it's because i was trying to connect through the 802.1x thingy using the airport card. if i disconnect that, and reconnect the airport it seems to work

Sorry....When I last posted I was a little aggravated because I had just been futzing with the **** thing for about 45 mins. So sorry if it was kinda rude. But it's definitely a recurring problem-- it will switch rapidly from full bars to none and back again in 2-3 seconds.

this is an error with Tiger 10.4.7 I was on the phone to apple for 45 mins about it. You have to wait till they release an update.
I have to run network diagnosis every time i want to connect to an airport or ethernet connection. You would think they would test these things, wouldn't you?
