Bluetooth mouse problems

I have a 17 inch mbp and i just purchased a logitech v2700 mouse which im using through bluetooth. Everynow and then the mouse will stop moving for a few seconds and the screen will say connection lost. Is this common for bluetooth mice or is something wrong with my mouse?

whenever i have had a similar problem with any bluetooth device, it has been battery related. i am not sure if your mouse is rechargable, or if it runs on batteries. but i would suggest starting with that.
