When I looked at the iMac's in the apple store, the icons at the bottome of the screen would grow larger when the mouse was rolled over them. My wife liked this. I am not able to figure out how to make the iMac I just got do that. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Be nice, I have been a Mac use for about 13 hours now.

It's called the "Dock" and, yes, it's a cool feature.

Open "System Preferences". It's the app that looks like a grey light switch.
Click on "Dock" on the top row.
Turn on "Magnification".
Set the sliders how you see fit and mouse away!

I see. I just assumed because a few of my friends purchased macbooks and their's were already set to the magnification mode.
