.mac is an Internet service by Apple for it's computer customers. There's no reason it should be free for anyone specifically, is there?

No! Why would .mac be free to specifically MacBook owners?! What kind of reasoning is that? Sorry to be kind of outright, but think before you post.

I paid for .mac, and plan to extend it for every year from now on. It's a GREAT for e-mail, and the iDisk storage is great. So worth it. Support Apple and pay the $99.
