Hi Guys,
I am fairly new to the world of mac, I have a mini for home theater but was looking at getting an iMac for my main home machine. Here is the question.
I produce a video podcast (itidiots.com plug plug) and I currently do a lot of screen capture of windows systems for the stuff we teach. I currently use an app called ZD Screen Capture (free and very good) but it captures to wmv or windows avi (unknown codec)
I tried quickly using iMovie to have a go at MAC editing and whilst it is not powerful enough for what we produce (features) I was not able to use any of my video screen capture footage.
I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me if Final Cut (Express) would be able to handle more imported formats, or could someone recommend a screen capture for windows that produces a compatible output for editing on a MAC.
Thanks,
Nick.
