DVI to ADC adapter is kind of weird with my PowerMac

I got a new video card for my MDD G4 Tower and got the Apple DVI-ADC Moniter adapter to use my existing ADC moniter with the new video card.

The light on the moniter lights up, but when I touch it, it doesn't put the computer to sleep, and when the computer is off, touching it doesn't turn the computer on.

That's the Apple adapter.

I also have the Add-Logix adapter which is even worse.

The light on the moniter doesn't light up at all, and when I connect USB from the converter to the computer, my other USB port in the computer becomes disabled. Also when I put the computer to sleep, it turnes off instead.

I bought a 17" ADC Moniter on ebay that I just got today, and it came with the Apple ADC-DVI adapter, so I'm using that now, but i'd like to make the Add-logix adapter work as well so that I can use both my moniters. I have another video card that I can put in one of the PCI slots.

Thanks for any help.
