Ram upgrade

my apps are running slow with the stock memory i have. i want to upgrade my ram but i am not sure which memory is better or if im getting the right type. i have the intel imac 20". please let me know if these are the right upgrades for my computer. thanks

i was looking through the ram some come with a heat spreader and some dont.....will it make a big difference if i dont get one?

Either one of them should work. I'm guessing you have 512mb in there...if so and you get either one of theese gig sticks you'll be flying man. 1.5gb should be great.

yea i have 512 and its just not cutting it....
do you guys know if a heat spreader on the ram makes a difference than the ones without any?

Heat spreaders are just basically for overclocking. On your iMac once you add the ram you won't need to overclock so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

It's alright, it doesn't make a difference. Only the RAM you got if it was in a PC it could overclock. The heat spreaders just help the ram cool down.
