Hi guys,

I'm currently in the processing of burning an AVI file to DVD using iDVD on my iBook. I have come across a problem though, the movie is too big to fit on a DVD.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any free programs that I can download and use to either cut the end credits off or compress the video slightly?

I've tried using iMovie but I can't import the movie because it says there is not enough disk space!

Cheers,

If there's not enough disk space for iMovie to manage it, then I doubt you'll find a way of doing it with anything else. If you free up some space and use iMovie's crop functionality, then encode with slightly higher compression, you should be OK.

Offload it onto your iPod and edit it from there...

If you plan to do more video editting, get an external firewire disk drive. You will reduce the wear and tear on the system drive.
