Boot Camp problem, please help!

Hey everyone, not sure if I am posting this in the right spot, but I am installing it on my MBP so I thought I could post it here. I downloaded the Boot Camp Assistant, but when I try to run it, it says I must update my computers Firmware. But I already have the most recent firmware update. I even tried downloading the firmware again and it said my computer does not need that update. I don't know what to do, It looks like im installing the Boot Camp Assistant, but then it just says finished after I clicked the .dmg file and went through the Agree options and stuff. I am so confused. Keep in mind I am new to macs heh. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am sure I'm doing something wrong here.

are you sure you have the latest firmware updates and not just the latest software updates? the firmware updates don't show up in osx's software update utility. you have to manually download them from apple's site and install them yourself.
