I think he is saying he wants to switch domain registrars but the one he is with says he can't. I could be wrong though.

yeah, Baggss you're kinda getting it. I paid Domain Registry a price for web space,
now a company calledNAME JUICEsez: no, I gotta pay them 200.00 for a
registered site. What the tidily-winks did I pay DOMAIN REGISTRY of AMERICA for? I thought
it was for 2006-7 dues, or am I getting suckerer?( A year ago I asked someone - Is web hosting an expensive? I got the reply: No, like with 1 & 1,
you could get by with say 9.99/mnth. So, I get that deal, then DOMAIN
REGISTRY tells me I have to pay 50.00/yr sounding very official like, so I
wasn't too suprised tto get hit another 50 bucks for renewal. Now, NAME
JUICE sez: Pay them 200.00 for transfer. Now. what the huckleberry-pie Am I buying
the Brooklyn Bridge?)

A quick Google search turned up some not-so-nice things about Domain Registry of America (DORA).
If you paid them any money, it would appear that you may have been scammed.

.... and there are several more. You might want to look into this a little deeper.

Ya, you got scammed. My site(s) are $16/year and my hosting, not through my domain registrar, is $18.99/month for 2Gb of web space.
