Multiple Graphics Cards

Hello everybody,
I have a simple question to ask you, I have a powermac quad, and was curious, If I put another graphics card in my system, will I notice a performance increase with real time effects in programs like motion and final cut?
I have 2 screens, in order for me to get a performance increase would a screen have to be hooked up to each card?

I don't know whether OS X can handle 2 cards, because it reamins to be seen whether OS X can render the same desktop through 2 cards, which I doubt is possible.

I have seen this thing where there was something like 4 cinema displays connected to a power mac, and a few other powermacs were all set up like that ,to create one giant screen that is where I got the idea from. I might just buy one and see if i get the results I want, and if not I can put the card on e-bay for somebody who is looking to upgrade one of their systems.

I believe you can place a second graphic card in your system. You might want to check the Apple site. They may have some information on what to do and not to do.
