I have a brand new macbook pro and Im new to the apple world. It seems that whenever a network is unprotected the MBP has no problem finding the signal and accessing the internet, however, when the network is protected with a password I can not join. (I obviously know the password and tried several times) All it says is that there was an error. Any help?

Are the secure networks only password protected? Is there any other sort of WEP/WPA or MAC address protecting on them?

It requires a WEP password but that is it, and yes, other laptops (PC's) work perfectly with the password protection in place.

Is the WEP 128Bit? Make sure when you are putting in the Hex Code that you also click and change it to 128Bit. The default setting will not do it for me. I have to click and change it to 128Bit.
