Deleting a user installed firewall

I have a G4 Mac operating on 10.4.6. A couple of years ago I subscribed to a building DSL higher speed network. At that time the network coordinator went into my computer/airport and must have installed a firewall.

Now, I have swithed providers and am not able to access the AOL BYOA service administered by Road Runner through my airport. How/where do I go in to delete whatever the previous network administrator put on my computer?

If I purchase a new airport will I have the same problem or will the problem be isolated to this particular airport.

to delete any app, just search for it in the finder and then drag it to the trash

once thats delted, the only other existing firewall is built into osx, under sharing, so it should work with another airport
