hey, i've decided to update my 2year old powerbookG4 and so today i went and purchased OS 10.4.7

and now, i've just installed it, verified and repaired disk permissions and started playing with new features.

but for some reason, every time i open a new widget from dashboard, my computer freezes.
that happened abut 5 times now, i think it is because of that water ripple effect, though it still makes no sense to me as i am running G4 with 10 gigs of free hard disk space 1.33GHz and 1GB RAM.

please can you help me find whats wrong with my mac and fix it.

thanks in advance!

victor

update, been reading up and i still suspect its the ripple effect that is causing my mac to crash as it always crashes before it.

heres my video card details, hope they help

Are you sure you're running 10.4.7?

Check there are no software updates available...

i click on apple at the top left corner and go to About this mac and it tells me that i am running 10.4.7
i have updated straight after i've installed tiger and there are no more updates available.
i think the ripple effect is whats making my mac freeze, is there a way to disable it without running a widget
my system crashes as soon as i open the widget, and the ripple starts...
