I agree that forums can be helpful for Q&A.
Still, if someone feels that he/she "doesn't have time" to read a manual, then as harsh as it may sound, that person is an idiot in my book. Manuals are included for a reason, to tell a person exactly how something works. It is a reference that one should keep handy.
What takes more time is for one to:
try to figure it out on their own
give up when they get nowhere with their lack of finding an answer that way
register on a forum
write up a post
then wait for someone to reply with a useful answer in a timely fashion
Or you could just take the few seconds to look it up in a manual.
Even better, if you do go the forum route.... take a few moments and search before you post.
