I had a hard freeze this afternoon and my computer has not yet recovered. I got the flashing question mark on startup, tried all sorts of key combination pressing on start up, and finally put in the installation dvd for OS X. The problem is that the computer does not recognize my hard drive, neither on start up or when it asks to select a destination volume installing OS X software.

I need some help here fast. post here and or email me at [email protected].

thanks,
adam

When you see the flashing question, that means you do not have a valid OS. Your system OS maybe corrupted or you had a hard disk crash.

Since you are not able to access your disk from the install media, it appears that you may have lost your system disk.
